Hogwarts AU: The Lady in Question
Lady Ginevra is in need of a rich husband. Despite being born with noble blood, she was somewhat lacking in funds, thanks to her father’s incurable gambling habits. She braves the London Season with hopes of finding a suitable man for her, with Lord Ronald, her troublesome brother, in tow. She becomes fast friends with Lady Hermione, who was considered a wallflower and an outcast for being an illegitimate child. Together they attempt to snare the gentlemen’s attention to search for their potential husbands, and get sabotaged by Lady Pansy, who wanted to be the belle of the ball. After a few squabbles and some violent hair-grabbing, they call a truce and proclaim a vow to help each other find their perfect mates.
Lord Harry was a man with a mysterious past. He was a recluse in society, but during the London Season he chose to attend the festivities, not to socialize, but to go undercover for a mission in the war office. The last thing he wanted was the attention of a certain red-haired minx who tries to win his affections. It didn’t help that his sworn enemy, Lord Draco, is present at most of the affairs, being his usual arrogant self.

Harry clutched his father’s cloak in his fist as he stormed through the common room. He wasn’t in the mood for answering questions, therefore he did well ignoring the many inquires he received from the students there.
He didn’t hear them. Or couldn’t hear them. He couldn’t see them and he couldn’t answer them. His mind had only enough room for the thunderous thoughts of what he’d just come to witness.
His best friend of seven long years, had lied to him. She’d lied to everyone. She’d felt lost and alone and had hidden it from them.
He’d known she was wandering off. He’d seen it with his own eyes. He’d known she was up to something, yet he’d done nothing. He’d thought it was alright. Everyone was intilted to their secrets. He’d thought perhaps all she needed was some fun. He just hadn’t thought…well he hadn’t thought she was seeing him.
How as he going to face her now? How was he supposed to face Ron after everything that had just happened?
Ron was worried sick as it was. How was he going to handle this piece of information? He loved her. And he was about to find out what she’d really been hiding this whole time. She’d been having a secret relationship behind their backs.
